Electronic notification

The Administration is required to communicate electronically. An electronic notification or communication is the way in which the Administration formally communicates with citizens and companies. Through this system, the Administration guarantees the date and time information was sent and when and by whom it was accessed.

If you are part of a group of people required to communicate electronically with the Administration (companies, organisations, associations, etc.) or you are a person who is not required to do so but who has subscribed or agreed to receive electronic notifications, when an administration sends you an electronic notification you will receive at the same time an email notification and, optionally, an SMS message to your mobile phone if you have provided your number.

If you have received an electronic notification email, you will find a link in the same email to access it. Click on “Accés a la notificació” (Access notification).

You can also consult the electronic notifications from the electronic procedures section of the municipal website. It is recommended that you never access it via a Google search.

Notifications require identification to access them. Choose your preferred identification system, bearing in mind that, depending on the subject of the notification, you may be required to use a digital certificate or you may be able to access it with your idCAT Mòbil and password.

Once you have identified yourself, you will be given access to the notification.

The file or files included in the notification are located at the top right-hand side. This notification can only be consulted from this space for a limited time. To keep this notification, you must download it to your computer.

From this screen you can access the notifications inbox from the “Torneu a la bústia” (Back to inbox) option.

We recommend that you log out of your session (especially if you accessed it from a public or shared computer) using the “Surt” (Exit) option found in the upper right corner of the screen.

How do I log in?

The electronic notification email will inform you of the systems for accessing the notification.

You can access the notifications:
 

 

One-time password.

If you can access with a one-time password, the email message contains the contact details of the person who can receive the notification. 

 

The system will ask you for the following information:

 

Currently, the generation of the code for SeTDIBA municipalities only works through email. The email address you provide at this moment must coincide with the email address of the notification.

The code sent by email is valid for 30 minutes.

Once you have entered the code received by email, the screen to access the notification will open.

 

idCAT Mòbil

If you have idCAT Mòbil, enter your phone number and the code you receive on your mobile device.

If you have not yet registered with idCAT Mòbil, we recommend that you do so to simplify the identification process when carrying out your online procedures. More information

 

Digital certificate

You can access the notification with a digital certificate if you have one. Check the accepted certificates to access a notification.

Preguntes més freqüents

Usually, once you receive the notification, you have a certain period of time to submit documentation, carry out the required actions, or express your disagreement. It is important to be aware of this time limit, as once this period has passed without you taking any action, the council will continue with the procedure.

If you do not understand the content of the notification, do not hesitate to contact your local council through the various available channels.

If you are a member of one of the groups required to accept electronic notifications (organisations, companies, groups of professional associations when acting as professionals or public workers) or you have agreed to receive electronic notifications, it will be understood that the notification has been carried out, even if you have not accessed it. In any case, the local council has proof that the notification has been carried out correctly and will continue with the corresponding administrative procedure.

If you are not a member of a group subject to the aforementioned requirement, apart from receiving the notification electronically, you will also receive it at your postal address.

Yes, you can access your pending electronic notifications directly from the "El meu espai personal” (My personal area) section of your local council's website. In this mailbox, you will find notifications sent by most of the Catalan administrations.

If you accessed it during the period when the notification was available, you will be able to access it even after the access period has expired. The notification will be rejected without any action taken.

If you have previously accessed it, you will need to contact your local council through the usual channels.

The email indicating that it is an electronic notification is just an alert. Check the emails received in your spam folder or verify with the corresponding administration that the email address you provided is correct.

If you are a member of one of the groups required to accept electronic notifications, we recommend that you periodically access your notification mailbox using idCAT Mòbil or a certificate. 

Yes, the system will allow you to access it, although it will inform you that this notification has already been accepted (and will indicate the date and time). Please note that this notification will disappear after a while. We recommend downloading the notification to your computer.

Most common problems

You can access your notification mailbox by following these steps:

1. From the home page of the municipal website, in the electronic procedures section.

2. From the services and procedures section you can access it from “Notificacions electròniques” (Electronic notifications) or “El meu espai personal” (My personal area).

You will access the electronic notification mailbox of that council, but remember that you can access the notification mailbox of all the administrations with which you have procedures.

The email message contains the information you need to access the notification. Make sure you are accessing it with the Tax ID (CIF/NIF) of the person to whom the notification was sent and that you have access to the email address listed in the notification details.

If you use a certificate or idCAT Mòbil, check that the Tax ID (CIF/NIF) matches the details in the email.

If you do not have the necessary details to receive the notification, if there is an error in the details or if you want to change them, contact your local council and inform them of this so that they can make the necessary changes to the recipient of the notification.

You can access a specific notification from:

  • The link to access the notification, as provided in the email notification alert (see image).
  • The electronic notifications area that the institution in question has provided for a specific user.
  • The email headquarters of the organisation that sent the notification.
